Having worked with and around Dan for 15 years at Enterprise there are so many things I admire about him.

Having worked with and around Dan for 15 years at Enterprise there are so many things I admire about him.  A few that stick out are his love for family, his constant professionalism, his positive attitude and how cool he was.  Dan typified what a commercial VP was in that he was outgoing, had friends throughout the business and knew his business inside and out.  He was cool like a glass of scotch with a cigar.  Except Dan never drank or smoked.  That blew my mind.  His only admitted vice was chocolate.

I will miss his positive energy and colorful personality.  We loved to joke with him about his colorful shirts and glasses.  I especially loved the glasses with lights.  He and I shared a love of golf.  He liked to hear about my son’s golf career and we would chat on Monday’s about the weekend’s golf tournament.  I will miss the random Friday phone call as he was driving to Austin where we catch-up and talk that weekends match.

Burns family know that Dan would light up talking about Jenna and his kids and grandkids.  His love for you was clear to all.  Dan was a special person and myself and our Enterprise family will miss him greatly.  Sending love and prayers.
